EKOBORD - New Generation Boarding Systems

Ekobord are aesthetically pleasing fibre cement new generation boards suitable a multitude of uses. They have a high resistance, are easy to install, and environmentally friendly. The boards are manufactured with a variety of different finish options available. These boards come in standard size but can be manufactured to suit. The boards can be used both internally and externally and are manufactured with all climatic conditions in mind.

What are the advantages?

  • Pressing operation:
    7000 tonne pressing capability, manufacturing from 8mm – 14mm thicknesses
  • Strength:
    Ekobord is the only fibre cement board having 3 class strength, unlike existing fibre cement boards which have 1 or 2 class strength

    Less than 25% maximum unlike other fibre cement boards with approx. 30% water absorption

Ekobord mounting System

There are 4 different mounting systems available for fast and practical applications. Its uses systems which have either been designed and produced by Ekobord or have been exclusively produced for use with Ekobord.

  • Screwed Mounting System
    Ekobord mounts the natural-looking products with screwed system to be painted on site. Firstly, L anchorages are mounted on the wall surface with the help of steel dowels. Afterwards, rock wool insulation and moisture barriers are mounted in order to ensure water resistance and heat insulation. Specially developed Y profiles are attached to L anchorage channels, they are then levelled and fixed with a trapezoidal screw. Fibre cement boards are then screwed and fixed on the Y profiles. After any joints and screw heads are covered, the boards are ready to be painted and the mounting process is completed.
  • Riveted Mounting System
    This system doesn't involve any painting process on construction sites. Firstly L anchorages are mounted on the wall surface with the help of steel dowels. Afterwards, rock wool insulation and moisture barriers are mounted in order to ensure water resistance and heat insulation. Specially developed Y profiles and anodized aluminum T profiles are attached to L anchorage channels to be levelled and fixed with a trapezoidal screw. The holes are be drilled and the drilled boards are to be mounted to the profiles, new holes are drilled through the holes towards the pro files. Rivets are painted with same color of the board, mounted with the riveting machine and the process is completed.
  • Suspended Mounting System
    This system doesn't involve any painting process on site. During suspended mounting system, firstly L anchorages are mounted on the wall surface with the help of steel dowels. Afterwards, rock wool insulation and moisture barriers are mounted in order to ensure water resistance and heat insulation. Specially developed Y profiles are attached to L anchorage channels, then they are leveled and fixed with a trapezoidal screw. A 1 mm-thick channel is opened next to fibre cement boards of at least 10 mm thickness. Galvanized hanging apparatuses are installed to this channel, then it is attached on Y profile surface with the help of button headed screw and the process is completed.
  • Adhesive Mounting System
    This system doesn't involve any painting process on site. During adhesive mounting system, firstly L anchorages are mounted on the wall surface with the help of steel dowels. Afterwards, rock wool insulation and moisture barriers are mounted in order to ensure water resistance and heat insulation. Specially developed Y profiles and anodised aluminium T profiles are attached to L anchorage channels then they are levelled and fixed with a trapezoidal screw. The top of the profiles is wiped with a clean cloth by using suitable chemicals. The same process is also done on the place where the panel to be mounted over the profile. Tape is to be attached on the surface of the cleaned profile, and the surface protector is removed. The board is carefully placed on the tape, pressed by hand strength and the process is completed.

Ekobord Flat

This system can be can be pre-primed ready for painting on site, or can be fully sprayed at production. The flat system also offers special Ekobord technology that allows any hi resolution photograph or image to be applied directly to the board.

Ekobord Wood

A timber effect fibre cement board system; they can be produced in two different patterns by applying length or width way. This also provides ease of application by obtaining patterns flowing horizontally in the applications where the use of full board size is preferred. This system can be can be pre-primed ready for painting on site, or can be fully sprayed at production.
